What is Crossfit?
Crossfit™ is a pioneering new way to look at fitness. It takes the unknown and tries to prepare you for it. It takes tried and tested methods of training and combines them to improve the general fitness of the participant. I have not found anything as effective in improving my general fitness.
Crossfit™ is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.
The Crossfit™ program is designed to be easily adaptable to any training ability. This makes it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease to cage fighters one month away from competition. We scale load and intensity. We don’t change any of the WODs. We merely adapt any loads, or substitute any exercises to suit the ability of the trainer designed to gradually build you up to complete the workout as prescribed.
Thousands of athletes worldwide have followed our workouts posted daily on CROSSFIT.COM and distinguished themselves within the armed forces, on the streets, in the ring, stadiums, gyms and homes.
If you chose to work out alone or in one of our organised classes you will receive the same amount of help from our friendly and knowledgable staff (if you want it). To see when our next training session is check out the online class Timetable
World Class fitness in 100 words.
Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.![]()
